REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS: Digital Design for Charlotte Symphony Mobile Stage

The Charlotte Symphony, in collaboration with Charlotte Is Creative, has issued a Request for Qualifications to local/regional artists interested in being considered to create a digital design that will be used to wrap the Symphony’s 40-foot mobile stage that will roll onto the Queen City creative scene in spring 2024.

This new mobile performance stage will bring the power of live music right to the heart of neighborhoods and cities across the region. To complement the experience, the Symphony is seeking to add a mural wrap designed by a local/regional artist to the new stage.

The final work will capture the essence of community gatherings and embody the spirit of the Symphony. To emphasize music’s unparalleled role in uniting diverse souls and dissolving boundaries, the mural should resonate with the heartbeat of the City, portraying music as a unifying force.

Ultimately, the mural should inspire wonder and excitement, just as the music that radiates from the mobile stage will.
